Designing for the Internet of Things
The Professional Learning Certificate in Designing for the Internet of Things focuses
on the emerging content products, services and devices that do not depend
upon an application or screen display for interaction, but instead are
embedded technologies. These will have diverse and distributed modes of
interaction. ThingTank Lab (formerly
DDiMIT) is the iSchool Institute's partner in offering this certificate which
develops both ideational and technical design skills for the Internet of Things
and which uses the capabilities of ThingTank to provide hands-on project
work in addition to the theory of design for products and services of this
type. By the end of this certificate program, students will have built a
fully-functioning Internet of Things project.
